Crete is a town of about 6,000 people about 30 miles southwest of Lincoln. Doane College has its main 300 acre campus in Crete. Crete has two good baseball diamonds. The one above is in Tuxedo Park which is on the west side of town. It is part of a complex of five diamonds.

The lighted ballpark features a solid grass infield and good turf in the outfield.
The park also has a very nice trap range featuring three traps. Baseball and trapshooting,
my type of park.
The second field is on the campus of Doane College. It is called the Jose M. & Elizabeth Ledon Baseball/Softball field. I do not have pictures of that field. |

The field at Tuxedo park is the home of the town's American Legion team. Crete has two junior teams and one American Legion senior team. Excellent participation for a town of its size.

The town has a long baseball history as this undated photo of some of the players on the Crete town team shows.
