Fairbury had a good team in 1930 but wound up in second place behind McCook for the second straight year. As with most teams in the league the depression had a big impact on the teams, the fans and the season.
The team had excellent pitching with Bob Logan and Vito San Fillipo leading the team. Their bats were not so good as they were next to last with the wagon tongue. Only Norton, which forfeited the last 7 games of the season was worse in hitting in 1930.
The franchise folded at the end of the year. With Fairbury and Norton dropping from the league the league was left with 6 teams for the 1931 season. Fairbury reappeared in the league in 1936.
