Roster:
First base for the Islanders in 1929 was Don Williams. He averaged .247 in 72 games.

Second base Harold McMann 16 games and aveaged .224.

Third base Cecil Eash 96 games (also 17 at first). He moved to Lincoln in 1930. The 21 year old averaged .291.

Short stop was Chester Chatham for 45 games and averaged .259. He was sold to Pueblo in the Western League. His brother Buster had just gone from Pueblo to the Pacific Coast League. Chester set an interesting record while in the Western League. In the bottom of the fourth inning in a game against Wichita with the bases loaded, Chester threw three straight runners out at the plate. In the next inning he had three putouts at first, giving him six straight assists.

Short Robert Browne started the league as the manager of Lincoln. He moved to Grand Island during the season and finished as the regular short stop for the Islanders. In all he played in 89 games and averaged .271..

Catcher in 1929 was Cayler 28 games(.309), and Alva Clarine 31 games(.314), also Harold Jameson(.242) (played for Norfolk also), and La Virtus Lippold (.184) (played for Lincoln also).

Outfield:
Jesse Walker played in 116 games, the most of any player for Grand Island.

Manager Clay Schoonover played in 31 games in the outfield.

Pitchers:
Otto Matulka was 14-8 in 27 games.

Preston Chalk was 12-10 in 26 games. He had 122 k's.

Jule Long was in 22 games and had an 8-10 record.

Rudy Jones was in 22 games and had a 10-11 record.

Harold Wonderwald was 7-15 in 27 games.
