In 1907 Hastings baseball was played on the "old east ward school grounds". It was located between Second and Third streets and Minnesota and Colorado Avenues. In the winter of 1907, complaining neighbors tore down the fences in order to halt baseball activities. They were successful. In 1908 a new ballpark was built. It was on ground leased from the Burlington railroad and was located between First and Second Streets, Baltimore and Briggs Avenue. This was the location of the field for the 1910 incarnation of the NSL.

Hastings started with a subscription of about $2,500 for their team. George Harm was named manager. The directors were: F. C. Babcock, C. G. Lane, H. E. Stein, P. R. Renner and Will Neimeyer. Herman Stein was elected president and C. G. Lane Vice President.

Hastings was 4th in batting average, but the were last in fielding and their lack of pitching prowess left them in last place at the end of the year.

Roster:
On first for Hastings in 1910 was Cook . He averaged .265 for the season.

Watson held down second base for 106 games and averaged .259.

DeConley averaged .242 while holding down the hot corner in 1910.

Shortstop for 1910 was held down by Smith . He played in 106 games and avereged .189.

Catcher was handled by a number of players in 1910. Gaarde averaged .205 in 39 games, Wally played in 26 games and averaged .214. Donnelly put on the mask for 36 games. He played 56 in the outfield and led the team with a .286 average.

Outfield:
Harms played 70 games in the garden and 103 total games. He averaged .262.

Garzee played in 106 games and averaged .257.

Boasen was in 28 games and averaged .257.

Other players for the franchise in 1910 included Wally 29 games .214 average, Olsen 16 games .146, Zavidil 16 games .154, Klegg 17 games .171, Nealon 12 games .171, Pierce 40 games .179.

Pitching:

Waldron had a 12-14 record.

Jacobson was 3-7.

Orth managed a 4-8 record.

Herrick was 5-12 in 1910.
