Kearney was unable to stay up with the faster teams in the league. While they were second in the league in hitting their lack of fielding prowess and pitching problems led to their second division finish.

Roster:

Holding down first base for the Kapitalists in 1911 was Danny Claire. He averaged .217 for the year.

Playing in the dirt at second was A. Downey . He finished with a .313 average. Foster alternated with Downey and averaged .226.

The hot corner was handled by Arthur Pagles. He averaged .327.

Carter Chellgord was a 19 year old from Kentucky. He played in 45 games and averaged .213.

Putting on the catcher's mask was Homer Gray . He averaged .274 for the year. He was a fixture in Kearney playing for the team from 1910 through 1913.

George Magerkurth was from McPherson Kansas. The 22 year old played in 84 games and averaged .219.

Iowan Guy Balliett was in his last year of professional ball. He started with Rockford in 1904. He played in 17 games.

Frank Synek averaged .248 in 58 games.

Hargis was in the outfield for the year and led the team with a .255 average. Leonard Gray averaged .285 and Fenlon averaged .323 for the year. Others in the outfield were Ferdinand Jarrott who also pitched, K. Trimble and Black

Pitchers:

Samuel Wright was 8-5 for the season.

K. Trimble was 12-13 for the year.

Rolla "Lefty" Maple managed a 9-6 record for the Kapitalists. He was from Lee's Summit Missouri and started his professional career in 1909 with Great Bend in the Kansas State League. He played for Kearney in 1911, 1913 and 1914 with a stint in Fort Worth in 1912. He made it to the major leagues in 1919 and had a 0-3 record with the St. Louis Browns.

C. Smith was 3-8 and Green was 4-8 for the year. Ferdinand Jarrott was 4-6 for the year.
