Randy Gumpert continued as manager for the Yankees in 1957. He broke into the majors in 1936 with the Philadelphia Athletics. His career included stops in New York with Yankees, Newark, Little Rock, Kansaas City and the U S Coast Guard for three years during the war. His last year in the majors was 1952 with the Senators. He then played for Los Angeles in the Pacific Coast League in 1953 and 1954 and finished his playing days in 1955 with Charleston in the American Association. The stint at Kearney was his first managers job.
Games were played at Memorial Field . Kearney wound up in 4th place in 1957. They were third in fielding, first in pitching and last in batting. They drew over 23,000 fans to Memorial Field for their home games.

Milt Campo  led the league in RBI's and in home runs in 
1957. The first baseman averaged .325 for the season.

George Banks  played both second and third during the 
season. The 18 year old from Pacolet Mills South Carolina  played in 42 
games and averaged .255.  Signed as a free agent by the Yankees in 1957 he 
moved to the Florida State League with St. Petersburg in 1958 where he 
averaged .315.  In 1959 he played most of the season with Fargo in the 
Northern League. 1960 was spent in Greensboro and 1961 he played in 
Binghamton in the Eastern League. He 
made his major league debut in 1962 with Minnesota.  He played in the 
majors for five years.
  Wesley Hill played in 20 games and averaged .217. Homer Dunham was a regular at third base and averaged .187.  |

Selvin Preston played in 23 games and averaged .243.
Putting on the mask for the Yankees was lefty Norman Kampschror . Originally from Bloomfield Montana he was named an NSL all star and averaged .299 for the season.
Milt Campo was an NSL all star and averaged .325 for the year. His last year in professional ball was 1959 playing for Decatur in the class "D" midwest league.
Outfield:
Charles Parmelee  was a regular in the garden in 1957. He 
averaged .266 for the season.
Roger Chaney was a lefty in the outfield. He was from Calimesa California and was named an NSL all star. He averaged .275.
Joe DiDomenico played in  34 games and averaged .200
while James Shardy  played in  35 games and averaged 
.178.
Pitchers:
Leonardo Fergunson  (also spelled Ferguson in some 
places) was the leading pitcher in the league 
in 1957. He led the league with a 1.68 ERA and had 149 strike outs. He was 
9-3 in 15 games. In 1958 he was promoted to the Yankees Modesto club where 
he was 23-8 for the year. In 1959 he played for Binghamton in the Carolina 
League where he was 11-10.
Vaughn Shell appeared in 10 games and was 7-2 Leonard Biles appeared in the same number of games and was 2-2.
Paul Erickson from Denver was on the mound eight times and had a 3-3 recor. He was named and NSL all star. while lefty Dennis Job was 5-4 in 14 games.
Al Lindop was 0-4 in 10 appearances.
