Burlington changed from a Cub's affiliate to the Pirates. Green Bay and Sioux City dropped out of the league at the end of the season.

Ira Hutchinson returned as manager of the Lincoln team for 1960. He managed in the White Sox organization from 1951 through the 1970 season after a playing career that started in 1933. He had 36 players during the seasona and 17 pitchers and still managed a second place finish.

All Stars

Albert John Weis was selected to the Three-I league all star team in the infield. The shortstop from Franklin Square New York turned 20 in 1960. He played for Holdrege in the Nebraska State League in 1959 where he led the league in assists. In 1961 he led the Sally league in assists while batting .261 for Charleston. He spent most of 1962 with Indianapolis and was called up to the White Sox late in the year. He played in the majors for ten seasons.

	Major League All Star 1971 Don Buford was selected as an III League All Star as an outfielder. He started the 1960 season with San Diego in the P.C.L. but spent most of the year with Lincoln. The Linden Texas native played in Charleston, Savannah and Indianapolis before making it to the major leagues in 1963. He played in the majors for ten seasons. He was an All Star in 1971 while playing for Baltimore.

Dean Look played 135 games in the outfield and averaged .285. He was signed by the White Sox as free agent in 1960. He made it to the majors for a cup of coffee in 1961 (3 games). The Lansing Michigan native who went to Michigan State also played one game for the New York Titans football team in 1962. He ran two times for 9 yards but had his one pass intercepted.

Gary Johnson started with Holdrege Nebraska in the Nebraska State League in 1958. He was back in Nebraska in 1960. The southpaw from Youngstown Ohio, played first base. He averaged .230 in 130 games. He returned to Lincoln in 1961 and played in the minors through the 1967 season.

Manly Johnson was a 21 year old from Alabama who played both pitcher and the outfield during his minor league career. In Lincoln he played 108 games in the outfield and averaged .260. He started as a pitcher in 1958, moved to the outfield in 1959 and returned to pitching in 1962.

Herman Williamson was the old man on the team at 26 years old. He played first for 93 games and averaged .223.

Alberto Alverez was behind the mask for 88 games and averaged .249.

Charlie Lindstrom was the other catcher for 1960. He caught 59 games and averaged.218. He had a cup of coffee with the White Sox in 1858 when he played for five innings in one game.

Jim Campbell was signed to the Pittsburg organization in 1955 and played for Salinas in the California League. In 1960 he caught 11 games for Lincoln and averaged .226 and he played 66 games for Savannah. He played for Houston in the National League in 1962 and 63.

Albert Bullock played 75 games in the infield and averaged .256.

Dick Sellinger played 108 games in the infield and averaged .286.

Jose Valladares played in 16 games and averaged .224.

Gene Duffy started his professional career with Holdrege in the Nebraska State League in 1959. In 1960 he played most of the season in Idaho Falls but had a 17 game stint in Lincoln.

Paul Higgs also started his professional career with Holdrege. He signed as an 18 year old in 1958. He split the year with most of his playing time in Idaho Falls. He played in 9 games in Lincoln.

Denny Adams, Monty Bond, Ed Wojcik, David Chitkowski and Christian Salberg also spent part of the 1960 season in Lincoln.

Pitchers:

Ronald B. Woods was selected as an All Star as a pitcher. He went 17-9 for Lincoln in 1960. He started with the White Sox organization in 1959 where he played for Clinton in the Midwest League and Holdrege in the Nebraska State League. He made it to Indianapolis in the "AAA" American Association in 1962.

Alan Brice was 10-7 for Lincoln in 1960. He played for Holdrege in the Nebraska State League in 1958. He had a brief stint with the White Sox in 1961, playing in 3 games and having a 0-1 record.

Dan Osinski was a 26 year old pitcher from Chicago. He started his professional career in 1952 with Fort Smith. He was 9-2 in 47 games. Signed by the Indians in 1952 he made it to the show in 1962 with the Kansas City Athletics. He pitched for six different teams and ended his major league career in 1970.

RIchard Kimball broke in with the Yankees organization in 1953, playing for Owensborg. He was 6-9 for Lincoln in 1960. Edward Szyczewski was a 23 year old righty in 1960. He was 6-11 in 1960.

Bob Locker was from George Iowa. He had five appearances in 1960 and was 15-12 in 1961 for Lincoln. He went to Iowa State University and went to the show in 1965. He played in the majors through the 1975 season.

Alfred Madigan was 7-9 in 1960.

Ronald Teunis was 3-3 for Lincoln and 5-7 with Charleston in 1960.

Dennis Higgins was a 20 year old from Jefferson City Missouri. He was signed by the Sox organization in 1958 and was assigned to Dubuque. He made it to the big leagues in 1966 and played for the White Sox, Senators, Indians and Cardinals through the 1972 season.

Carl Winton was a 5' 1" righty. He was 5-5 for Lincoln in 1960.

Gerald Moeller started as an 18 year old with Holdrege in the Nebraska State League in 1958. He was back in Nebraska in 1960. He was 6-5 in 109 innings.

Ronald Plath was 2-2.

Tony Filicchia started with Grand Island in the Nebraska State League in 1959. Originally signed by the Kansas City Athletics he ws sold to the White Sox in 1960. He was 0-1 for Lincoln and 4-1 for Idaho Falls in 1960.

Robert Gruber was another player who started with Holdrege in the Nebraska State League. He returned to Nebraska in 1960 where he was 0-1 for Lincoln, 5-5 for Pensacola and 1-0 for Charleston.

Willie Calvin was 0-1 for Lincoln in 1960.

Jose Lizondro was 13-4 for Idaho Falls and 0-0 with Lincoln.

Robert Wade was 0-0 in 3 games.
