Joe Dolan

 

Joe Dolan was a Baltimore born baseball player who started his organized baseball career with the Omaha Omahogs in 1894. After spending the 1895 season with Cedar Rapids he made it to the majors in 1896.

Joe played in 44 games for Lousiville in 1896 and 36 games in 1897. He played for the Detroit Tigers and the Minneapolis Millers in the Western League in 1898. He had a 61 game stint with Philadelphia (NL) in 1899 and also played for Richmond in the Atlantic League. 1900 saw him back in the majors and he played in 74 games with Philadelphia. In 1901 he played for both Philadelphia teams.

In 1902 he was back in the minors playing for Pa Rourke's Omaha Indians. He had a brief stint in the PCL in 1903 but came back to Omaha for 51 games. He was a regular for Omaha from 1904 through 1907.

He played for Des Moines in 1908, Winston-Salem in 1909 and was back in Nebraska, playing for the Columbus franchise in the Nebraska State League. He played for Bangor Maine in 1913.

After his playing career, Joe settled in Omaha. He died in 1938.
