Merchant's Park in Schuyler Nebraska is one of the best diamonds in Nebraska. From the well manicured field to the wonderful grandstands the park has it all.
Schuyler was formerly known as Shell Creek Station. It was named for Schuyler Colfax, Vice President under Ulysses Grant. The town is about 60 miles from both Omaha and Lincoln. Another attraction in Schuyler is the Oak Ballroom. It was built in 1937 as a WPA project and stands at the entrance to the city park. |
