William Zink returned as manager for the 1912 season as the hot stove season predicted a great finish for Seward in 1912. They wound up as a second division team with a 53-59 record. They were a real hard luck team, losing 21 games in the 8th or 9th inning. This would be their last year in the NSL as a tornado ripped through the town in early 1913. The franchise then moved to Beatrice.
The optimism for 1912 came from the fact that almost the entire club from 1911 was returning. Zink, Neff and Brannon all returned to hold down the infield.
